Gigabyte Unleashes Two New PSUs

Gigabyte G750H Power Supply

Gigabyte has introduced two power supplies aimed at high-end builds and gaming systems: the 750W G750H and the 700W B700H. Both models are modular and consist of high-quality Japanese capacitors. They also feature a single +12V rail and support both Nvidia SLI and AMD CrossFire configurations.

For starters, the 750W G750H is 80 PLUS Gold certified and ideal for high-performance systems and overclocking. Keeping it cool is a temperature-controlled 140mm double ball bearing fan promising over 50,000 hours of life. The capacitors are 100 percent Japanese-made, meaning users should expect this power supply to be reliable for a long time.

The specs show that this particular model has an input voltage of 100-240 Vac (full range), an input current of 10A, an input frequency of 47-63Hz, 90 percent efficiency at typical load, and an MTBF of over 100,000 hours. It’s an Intel Form Factor ATX 12V v2.31 model measuring 160(D)x150(W)x86(H)mm. The included cables are flat.

Gigabyte B700H Power Supply

As for the 700W B700H power supply, this model is 80 PLUS Bronze certified and aimed at the PC gamer. It packs a temperature-controlled 120mm double ball bearing fan promising over 50,000 hours of life. The Japanese capacitors aren’t listed as 100 percent, but the company promises that they will last four times longer than conventional capacitors.

The specifications for this model show that it has an input voltage of 100-240 Vac (full range), an input current of 10A, an input frequency of 47-63Hz, an efficiency of 85 percent at typical load, and an MTBF of more than 100,000 hours. It’s also an Intel Form Factor ATX 12V v2.31 model measuring a smaller 140(D)x150(W)x86(H)mm.

Gigabyte says that a single +12V rail is the best design for overclocking, as it generates “the best power output, stability and compatibility.” Having an 80 Plus certification also means these two power supplies have less fan noise and heat because they waste very little power. What you want is a power supply that can crank out the voltage while keeping cool and quiet in the process, and these two seem aimed to do just that.

Finally, both models ship with a 5-year product warranty. They’re available now, although the company didnt t provide pricing in its announcement.
